Loyola University of New Orleans offers a program in graduate ministry education and religious education in your area! The Loyola Institute for Ministry Extension (LIMEX) program is a part-time, fully accredited, graduate-level, Catholic university program leading to a master’s degree or certificate in religious education or pastoral studies. It provides scheduling that is flexible to accommodate the needs of adult learners, thus enabling students to combine graduate study, family, and work without leaving the area.
The Ottawa class will begin this September and Orientation for that class will be held in the first week of August. Students enrolled in that group are from Lima, Ottawa, Defiance, and Kalida. There is room for a few more people in this class so anyone interested in the Ottawa group should contact Marian Bermudez now at 419-663-5036 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The LIMEX website is: www.lim.loyno.edu.
The Toledo group continues to grow. Students enrolled in that group so far are from Toledo and Wauseon. Information Sessions in the Toledo area will be held in the Fall.
The Diocese of Toledo has been sponsoring the LIMEX program since 1996 and there are about 50 graduates in our diocese! The 8th LIMEX class, which is meeting in Norwalk, just completed Course 1. The 10 students in this class are from Vermilion, Sandusky, Wakeman, Norwalk, Gibsonburg, and Lexington! Other classes are now forming in the Toledo and Ottawa areas.
