Catholic Charities Offers Free Financial Life Skills Workshops
 
JAN. 25, 2012—NORWALK—Catholic Charities is offering free Financial Life Skills workshops to the community. The same workshop will be held Thursday, Feb. 2, and Thursday, Feb. 16, from 1 to 3 p.m. and provides an opportunity to improve household budgeting skills for individuals struggling with financial stability. Participants will learn skills in household and utility savings, smart shopping, reducing expenses, paying off debt and saving for the future.
The workshops are held twice each month at the Catholic Charities’ offices at 34 Woodlawn Ave., Norwalk. To register, please contact Catholic Charities Case Manager Marla Sommers at 419-668-3073, ext. 106, or at 1-800-668-3110.  Funding for the workshops is provided by United Fund and Key Bank Foundation.

In 2010, Catholic Charities served 31,000 people in the Diocese of Toledo by providing food, shelter, prescription and emergency rent assistance as well as adoption services, jail and prison ministries and services to the elderly.
