POINTS OF INTEREST: Â Â Â Â This Christmas Fair Trade sale is open to the public and features products from SERRV, a nonprofit organization with a mission to eradicate poverty by providing opportunity and support to low-income artisans and farmers worldwide. Fair trade not only aims to pay fair wages, but also creates long-term, direct trading relationships based on dialogue, equity and respect which in turn enable these artisans and farmers to develop their own businesses. Hand-made crafts, jewelry, scarves, household decor and foods will be available for purchase. The Office of Global Mission of the Evangelization and Parish Life Secretariat is sponsoring this Christmas Fair Trade Sale. The Diocese of Toledo, established April 15, 1910 encompasses 8222 square miles in a mixture of urban and rural areas that spans 19 counties across Northwest, serving 322,523 Catholics in 126 parishes. The diocese includes Allen, Crawford, Defiance, Erie, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Huron, Lucas, Ottawa, Paulding, Putnam, Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, Van Wert, Williams, Wood and Wyandot counties. ###
