DIOCESE PRESENTS NATIONAL RESPECT LIFE SUNDAY EVENT

September 28, 2010—Toledo, OH— Join the Toledo Diocese as they celebrate National Respect Life Sunday on October 3, 2010. The celebration begins at Lima Central Catholic High School at 4 p.m. for gathering and refreshments. A prayer and presentation will follow at 4:30 p.m.

The presentation will feature the guest speaker, Mr. Derrick F. Dufresne, President of Community Resource Associates, Inc. (CRA). The CRA is a training and management consulting firm dedicated to promoting a full community of inclusion.

Following the guest speaker, there will be a prayer walk to St. Charles Borromeo Parish at 5:30 p.m. The conclusion of the event is the LIFE TEEN mass at 6 p.m. celebrated by Very Reverend Michael R. Billian, VE Episcopal Vicar, Moderator of the Curia and Chancellor.

“This collaborative respect life event will bring to focus how important life issues are to every aspect of church ministry,” said Marsha Rivas, head of Equal Access Ministry of the Toledo Diocese.
This event is sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Toledo including the Secretariat for Pastoral Leadership and Catholic Charities offices. Also sponsoring the event is St. Charles Borromeo, St. John the Evangelist, St. Gerard and St. Rose of Lima parishes.

Lima Central Catholic High School is located at 720 South Cable Rd. and St. Charles Borromeo Parish is located at 2200 West Elm St. Lima, Ohio. This event is made possible through the diocesan Annual Catholic Appeal.
