DIOCESAN PARISHES CELEBRATE CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION
June 3, 2010—Toledo, OH—St. Aloysius Parish and St. Thomas More University Parish, both in Bowling Green, will be celebrating the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ on Saturday, June 5. Bishop Leonard Blair will celebrate the mass at St. Aloysius and lead the procession following the 5:30 p.m. liturgy.
There will be Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament following the procession. A potluck meal will also follow the mass in Hartmann Hall.
The Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ, also known as Corpus Christi, is meant to solemnly commemorate the institution of the Eucharist. The Catholic Church has celebrated the feast of Corpus Christi since the 13th century. St. Aloysius is located at 150 South Enterprise, Bowling Green.
