December 8, 2008 – Toledo, OH - The Most Reverend Leonard Paul Blair, Bishop of the Diocese of Toledo announces the following personnel appointments in the diocese effective immediately:

• Deacon Alfredo Diaz as Pastoral Leader Pro Tem of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Toledo in addition to his duties as Vicar for Deacons;

• Reverend Gerald Knueven as Parish Chaplain Pro Tem of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Toledo;

• Reverend Joy Poonoly, CSsR as the Associate Pastor of Saint Gerard Parish, Lima;

• Deacon Jesus Villagomez is granted Senior Status. Deacon Villagomez served at Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Toledo.

The Diocese of Toledo, established April 15, 1910 encompasses 8222 square miles in a mixture of urban and rural areas that spans 19 counties across Northwest Ohio, serving 306,532 Catholics.
