Catholic Charities is seeking part-time Adoption Assessors for much of the Northwest Ohio region. Adoption Assessors will work from remote locations with occasional travel to Toledo and other Counties in Northwest Ohio.  The Adoption Assessor will be responsible for providing foster care and comprehensive adoption services to families and birth mothers through home studies, assessments, education, and counseling while following the mission and vision of Catholic Charities and the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services regulations.   Other responsibilities include but are not limited to counseling prospective adoptive families on the adoption process, completes both domestic and international post placement visits, and completes all required paperwork error-free and in a timely manner.  

Position requires a Bachelor degree in social work or a related field with at least 3 years experience in a social services setting; Requires Tier 1 and Tier 2 Assessor certification; LSW, PC, LPC and LPCC licensure preferred; must maintain a high level of attention to quality, detail, accuracy and efficiency; requires above average communication skills including verbal, written and listening; Must successfully pass the required BCI/FBI background check prior to employment and every five (5) years; Must maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a car.
