DIOCESE OF TOLEDO ANNOUNCES PERSONNEL APPOINTMENTS

June 3, 2008 – Toledo, Ohio - The Most Reverend Leonard Paul Blair, Bishop of the Diocese of Toledo announces the following personnel appointments in the diocese effective July 1, 2008 unless otherwise noted:

• Reverend David Beck has been appointed as the Associate Pastor of Saint Charles Borromeo Parish, Lima. Fr. Beck is currently the Associate Pastor at St. Clement Parish in Toledo.

• Reverend John Brennen has been appointed as Associate Pastor of Saint Joseph Parish, Galion, in addition to his responsibilities as Associate Pastor Pro Tempore of St. Peter Parish, Mansfield.

• Reverend Eric Culler has been appointed as Associate Pastor of Saint Mary Parish, Tiffin and Saint Pius X Parish, Sycamore. Fr. Culler was ordained on Saturday, May 31.

• Reverend Robert Dendinger has been appointed as Pastor of Transfiguration of the Lord Parish, Upper Sandusky. Fr. Dendinger is currently the Pastor of St. Bernard Parish in New Washington.

• Reverend Douglas Garand has been appointed as Pastor of Saint Catherine of Siena Parish, Toledo. Fr. Garand is currently the Associate Pastor at St. Mary in Sandusky as well as the Chaplain at St. Mary Central Catholic High School.

• Reverend Timothy Ferris has been appointed to the faculty of Central Catholic High School, Lima.

• Deacon Kishore Kottana has been appointed to Saint Mary Parish, Sandusky.

• Reverend Edward Littelmann has been appointed as the Associate Pastor of Saint Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish, Toledo. Fr. Littelmann is currently the Pastor at St. Clement Parish in Toledo.

• Reverend John Miller has been appointed as the Associate Pastor of Saint Rose of Lima Parish, Perrysburg. Fr. Miller was ordained on Saturday, May 31.

• Reverend David Nuss has been appointed to the faculty of Sandusky Central Catholic School in addition to his responsibilities as Associate Pastor of Saint Mary Parish, Sandusky.

• Reverend Joseph Poggemeyer has been appointed as Pastor of Saint Joseph Parish, Toledo and as member of the faculty of Central Catholic High School, Toledo. Fr. Poggemeyer is currently the Director of Formation at the Pontifical College Josephinum.

• Reverend David Ross has been appointed as Pastor of Saint Rose of Lima Parish and Saint John the Evangelist Parish in Lima. Fr. Ross is currently the Pastor of Saint Mary Parish, Tiffin and Saint Pius X Parish, Sycamore.

• Reverend Dominic Savyo has been appointed as Associate Pastor of Christ the King Parish, Toledo.

• Reverend Jonathan Wight has been appointed as Pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish, Bellevue. Fr. Wight is currently the Pastor of All Saints Parish, Rossford.

• The following personnel appointment is effective June 2, 2008: Deacon Richard Kozek had been granted Senior Status. Deacon Kozek was serving at All Saints Parish, Rossford.

• The following personnel appointment is effective August 4, 2008: Reverend Michael Geiger has been appointed as Pastor of Saint Joseph Parish, Crestline and Sacred Heart parish, Bethlehem.
