Rosary Cathedral To Host Handbell Workshop And Concert Print E-mail
 


January 26, 2006 – Toledo, OH – Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral located at 2535 Collingwood Blvd. will host a handbell concert on Sunday, February 12 at 4 pm. The concert is the culmination of a weekend workshop for area handbell ringers from Catholic and Lutheran churches including, St. Rose, Perrysburg; Christ the King, Toledo; St. Joan of Arc, Toledo; Olivet Lutheran, Sylvania; Community of Christ Lutheran, Whitehouse and the Toledo Diocesan Handbell Choir. 


The Workshop and the concert will be led by Jean McLaughlin, director of music at St. Joan of Arc Parish in Toledo. Ms. McLaughlin has directed two National Handbell Festivals for the National Association of Pastoral Musicians and is in demand as a handbell clinician.


The concert is free and open to the public and will include selections from various seasons of the Church Year from Advent to Pentecost. Several selections will include choir, brass, organ accompaniment and congregational singing. For more information please contact Paul J.
