DIOCESE OF TOLEDO ANNOUNCES PERSONNEL APPOINTMENTS

September 20, 2007 – Toledo, Ohio - The Most Reverend Leonard Paul Blair, Bishop of the Diocese of Toledo announces the following personnel appointments in the diocese effective immediately:

•    Reverend David Ritchie, has been appointed as the Diocesan Bingo Coordinator in addition to his duties as Pastor, Oak Harbor St. Boniface, and Genoa, Our Lady of Lourdes.

•    Deacon Douglas Bullimore to Toledo, Little Flower parish

•    Deacon Jack Busam to Huron, Saint Peter parish

•    Deacon Jim Caruso to Toledo, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral

•    Deacon Jose Garcia to Toledo, Sacred Heart parish

•    Deacon James Heyman to Clyde, Saint Mary parish

•    Deacon Mark Kern to Findlay, Saint Michael parish

•    Deacon Clifton Perryman to Perrysburg, Blessed John XXIII parish

•    Deacon Lawrence Schimmoeller to Fort Jennings, Saint Joseph parish

•    Deacon James Schortgen to Holgate, Saint Mary parish

•    Deacon Gary Thrun to Bowling Green, Saint Thomas More parish

•    Deacon Joseph Timbrook to Hicksville, Saint Michael parish

•    Deacon Benjamin Valdez to Leipsic, Saint Mary parish

•    Deacon Kevin Wintersteller to Upper Sandusky, Transfiguration of the Lord parish

The Diocese of Toledo, established April 15, 1910 encompasses 8222 square miles in a mixture of urban and rural areas that spans 19 counties across Northwest Ohio, serving 306,532 Catholics. The diocese includes Allen, Crawford, Defiance, Erie, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Huron, Lucas, Ottawa, Paulding, Putnam, Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, Van Wert, Williams, Wood and Wyandot counties.
