DIOCESE OF TOLEDO ANNOUNCES PERSONNEL APPOINTMENTS


April 19, 2007 – Toledo, Ohio - The Most Reverend Leonard Paul Blair, Bishop of the Diocese of Toledo announces the following personnel appointments in the diocese effective July 2, 2007:

•    Reverend Jeffrey J. Nordhaus has been appointed as Pastor of Saint Louis Parish in Custar, and Immaculate Conception Parish in Deshler. Father Nordhaus is currently Pastor at Mother of Sorrows Parish in Put-In-Bay and Saint Michael Parish, Kelleys Island.

•    Reverend Mark E. Davis has been appointed Pastor of Saint Aloysius Parish in Bowling Green. Father Davis is currently Associate Pastor at Saint Joseph Parish in Sylvania

•    Reverend David W. Nuss has been appointed as Pastor of Saint Rose of Lima Parish in Perrysburg.  Father Nuss is currently the Director of Vocations of the Diocese of Toledo.

•    Reverend Dennis Walsh has been appointed as Pastor of Saint Patrick of Heatherdowns in Toledo. Father Walsh is currently Pastor of Saint John the Evangelist Parish in Defiance.

•    Reverend Nicholas Weibl has been appointed Pastor of Saint Wendelin Parish in Fostoria. Father Weibl is currently the Vicar for Priests of the Diocese of Toledo.

•    Reverend Ronald A. Schock has been appointed as the Director of Vocations of the Diocese of Toledo. Father Schock is currently the Pastor of All Saints Parish in New Riegel.

The Diocese of Toledo, established April 15, 1910 encompasses 8222 square miles in a mixture of urban and rural areas that spans 19 counties across Northwest Ohio, serving 306,000 Catholics. The diocese includes Allen, Crawford, Defiance, Erie, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Huron, Lucas, Ottawa, Paulding, Putnam, Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, Van Wert, Williams, Wood and Wyandot counties.
