May 17, 2007 – Toledo, Ohio - The Most Reverend Leonard Paul Blair, Bishop of the Diocese of Toledo announces the following personnel appointments in the diocese effective July 2, 2007:

Reverend Christopher G. Bazar has been appointed as the Associate Pastor of Saint Peter Parish in Mansfield. Father Bazar is currently the Associate Pastor of Saint Joan of Arc Parish in Toledo.
 
Very Reverend Marvin G. Borger has been appointed as the part-time Associate Pastor of Saint Rose of Lima Parish in Perrysburg in addition to his duties as the Vicar General and Chancellor of the Diocese.
 
Reverend Joseph P. Cardone has been appointed as the part-time Associate Pastor of Saint Joseph Parish in Sylvania in addition to his duties at Mercy Health Partners.
 
Reverend Timothy F. Ferris will continue as the Associate Pastor of Saint Mary Parish in Tiffin and Saint Pius X in Sycamore.
 
Reverend George Maramkandom has been appointed as the Associate Pastor of Saint John the Evangelist Parish in Delphos.
 
Reverend John M. Nagele, CPPS has been appointed as the Administrator of Our Mother of Sorrows Parish in Put in Bay and Saint Michael Parish on Kelley’s Island.  Father Nagele is currently the Pastor of Saint Gaspar del Bufalo in Marywood.
 
Reverend Charles Obinwa has been appointed as the Chaplain to Saint Rita’s Hospital in Lima.  He is currently the Associate Pastor of Saint John the Evangelist Parish in Delphos.
 
Reverend Tommy Rodrigues will continue as Associate Pastor of Christ the King Parish in Toledo.
 
Reverend Patrick J. Rohen has been appointed as the Chaplain to the Ohio Veteran’s Home in Sandusky.
 
Deacon Eric P. Schild has been appointed as the Associate Pastor of Saint Wendelin Parish in Fostoria after his priestly ordination on June 2, 2007.
 
In accordance with their request, Senior Status has been granted to the following Diocesan Priests effective July 1, 2007:

Very Reverend Gerald L. Ceranowski.  He currently serves as the Pastor of Saint Ann Parish in Fremont.

Reverend Thomas J. Gorman. He currently serves as the Chaplain/Instructor of Lima Central Catholic High School.  He will continue to serve as the Parish Chaplain of Saint Mary Parish in Bluffton.
 
Reverend Robert A. Holden.  He currently serves as the Pastor of Saint Caspar Parish in Wauseon.

Reverend Thomas J. Leyland. He currently serves as the Pastor of Saint Rose in Perrysburg.

Reverend James E. Peiffer.  He currently serves as the Pastor of Saint Boniface Parish in Oak Harbor and Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Genoa.  He will continue to serve as the Diocesan Ecumenical Officer.

Reverend James K. Say. He currently serves as the Pastor of Saint Joseph Parish in Tiffin.

Reverend Herman F. Scherger.  He currently serves as the Associate Pastor of Saint Joseph in Paulding and Saint John in Payne.

Reverend Thomas E. Wehinger.  He currently serves as the Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Toledo.
