DIOCESE OF TOLEDO ANNOUNCES PERSONNEL APPOINTMENTS

January 17, 2007 – Toledo, Ohio - The Most Reverend Leonard Paul Blair, Bishop of the Diocese of Toledo announces the following personnel appointments in the diocese.

Effective as of February 8, 2007:

• Upon the recommendation of the Vicar for Deacons, Deacon Lewis Reinhart has been granted senior status. He served at All Saints in New Reigel.
Effective as of July 1, 2007

• After receiving the results of the nomination process, Reverend William Kubacki is appointed as the Vicar for Priests of the Diocese of Toledo. He will continue in his role as the Director of Deacon Formation but will vacate the office of Pastor of Saint Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish in Toledo. Father Kubacki received the highest number of nominations for this office from the diocesan priests.

The Diocese of Toledo, established April 15, 1910 encompasses 8222 square miles in a mixture of urban and rural areas that spans 19 counties across Northwest Ohio, serving 306,000 Catholics. The diocese includes Allen, Crawford, Defiance, Erie, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Huron, Lucas, Ottawa, Paulding, Putnam, Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, Van Wert, Williams, Wood and Wyandot counties.
