DIOCESE OF TOLEDO HOSTS FLU SHOT CLINIC TO BENEFIT CATHOLIC CHARITIES

December 28, 2006 – Toledo, OH – The Catholic Diocese of Toledo in partnership with Kroger will offer a flu shot clinic on Thursday, January 4th and Friday, January 5th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Catholic Center at 1933 Spielbusch Avenue. Kroger pharmacists will administer the shots costing $20 each. Five dollars from every shot will be donated by Kroger to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Toledo. Anyone who wishes to receive a flu shot must call the Catholic Center to register by Tuesday, January 2nd.

Catholic Charities, established in 1914 to provide care and protection to orphans and single mothers, provides assistance to individuals, families and groups through direct social services, consultation, mediation, resources and in-service training for parish-based ministry programs, advocacy and justice education. Catholic Charities has offices in Norwalk, Fostoria, Mansfield, Fremont, Defiance, Lima, Bryan, Napoleon, Ottawa, and Metro-Toledo, serving Catholics and non-Catholics throughout the Diocese.
