OVER 340 COUPLES CELEBRATE MILESTONE WEDDING ANNIVERSARIES
Annual Diocesan Celebration Honors Couples Married 25, 50 or 60 or More Years Together
October 26, 2006 – Toledo, OH – Contrary to the recent Census Bureau finding that married couples are in the minority, 344 couples from the Diocese of Toledo will celebrate 25, 50 or 60 or more years of marriage at the 33rd annual 25th/50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration Sunday, October 29, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral, Toledo, OH. Bishop Leonard P. Blair will preside at the service.
The celebration honors these couples as living signs that marriage and family life are alive and well. This year fifty-nine of the registered couples are celebrating 60 or more years of marriage. Pat Halicek, coordinator of the celebration said, “These couples are true witnesses of the love and commitment of marriage!”
