October 30, 2006 – Toledo, OH – Art Uncorked! a fundraiser for Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Toledo will be held Sunday, November 5th at 5pm at the Sullivan Center, Gesu Parish, 2049 Parkside Boulevard, Toledo.

The event, a wine tasting and an art auction will feature a local professional artist working alongside a local celebrity "artist", who will apply the finishing touches on the artwork. The newly created artwork will be available throughout the evening in a silent auction.

Professional artists for the event include: Aaron Bivins, Tony Esterson, Angelika Manakhimova, Robert Martin, Gideon Rockwood, Harold Roe, Julie Schuster, Julie Webster and Sister Regeen Ulrich. Celebrity artists for the evening include: Very Reverend Michael R. Billian, Shelley Brown, Mark Luetke, Charles Niehaus, Jeanine Perry, Jeff Smith, Mary Beth Zolik, and Shenekwa Stratford.

Catholic Charities, established in 1914 to provide care and protection to orphans and single mothers provides assistance to individuals, families and groups through direct social services, consultation, mediation, resources and in-service training for parish-based ministry programs, advocacy and justice education. Catholic Charities has offices in Norwalk, Fostoria, Mansfield, Fremont, Defiance, Lima, Bryan, Napoleon, Ottawa, and Metro-Toledo, serving Catholics and non-Catholics throughout the Diocese.
