Bishop Leonard P. Blair, Fr. Herb Weber and Sr. Christine Pratt traveled  to Louisiana to begin the process of forming a partnership between the Diocese of Toledo and the the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux.

The partnership is seen as a way to communicate needs and coordinate services for the people of the rural diocese of Houma-Thibodaux.

The trip allowed both dioceses to formulate a long term plan for the partnership and to build the relationships necessary to make the partnership a success for everyone involved. The group was able to tour some of the most devastated areas of New Orleans and Houma-Thibodaux. They commented that it was hard to believe how much damage was done, and how much work there is still left to do. Still, they all commented on the strong presence of hope and compassion throughout the region.
