 DIOCESE OF TOLEDO ANNOUNCES PERSONNEL APPOINTMENTS
August 22, 2006 – Toledo, Ohio - The Most Reverend Leonard Paul Blair, Bishop of the Diocese of Toledo announces the following personnel appointments in the diocese effective immediately.
· Upon the recommendation of the Vicar for Deacons, Deacon Valentin Lopez has been granted senior status. He served at Saint Mary Parish in Leipsic.
· Very Reverend Stephen J. Blum, VF has been appointed the Dean of the Blessed Junipero Serra Deanery.
· Very Reverend Keith A. Stripe, VF has been appointed the Dean of the Saint John Neumann Deanery.
The Diocese of Toledo, established April 15, 1910 encompasses 8222 square miles in a mixture of urban and rural areas that spans 19 counties across Northwest Ohio, serving 306,000 Catholics. The diocese includes Allen, Crawford, Defiance, Erie, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Huron, Lucas, Ottawa, Paulding, Putnam, Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, Van Wert, Williams, Wood and Wyandot counties.
