DIOCESE OF TOLEDO ANNOUNCES PERSONNEL APPOINTMENTS
May 31, 2006 – Toledo, Ohio - The Most Reverend Leonard Paul Blair, Bishop of the Diocese of Toledo announces the following personnel appointment in the diocese effective effective May 20, 2006
• Upon the recommendation of the Vicar for Deacons, Deacon John F. Weeks has been appointed to serve as Permanent Deacon at Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Sandusky, Ohio
• Upon the recommendation of the Vicar for Deacons, Deacon Daniel R. Waters has been appointed to serve as Permanent Deacon at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Toledo, Ohio
• Upon the recommendation of the Vicar for Deacons, Deacon Leonard E. Roth has been appointed to serve as Permanent Deacon at Saint Joseph Parish in Paulding, Ohio
• Upon the recommendation of the Vicar for Deacons, Anthony J. Pistilli has been appointed to serve as Permanent Deacon at Saint Joseph Parish in Sylvania, Ohio
• Upon the recommendation of the Vicar for Deacons, Deacon Theodore K. Kaser, Jr. has been appointed to serve as Permanent Deacon at Saint Rose of Lima, Ohio
• Upon the recommendation of the Vicar for Deacons, Deacon Doyle J. Erford has been appointed to serve as Permanent Deacon at Holy Family Parish of New Cleveland, Ohio
• Upon the recommendation of the Vicar for Deacons, Deacon Jeffrey C. Claar has been appointed to serve as Permanent Deacon at Saint Mary Parish of Sandusky, Ohio
• Upon the recommendation of the Vicar for Deacons, Deacon James D. Caruso has been appointed to serve as Permanent Deacon at Historic Saint Patrick Parish of Toledo, Ohio
• Upon the recommendation of the Vicar for Deacons, Deacon Gary L. Boudrie has been appointed to serve as Permanent Deacon at Saint Joseph Parish of Sylvania, Ohio
Effective July 1, 2006:
• Reverend Joven Malanyaon has been appointed as Associate Pastor of Saint Peter Parish in Mansfield. Father Malanyaon currently serves as Chaplain of Sacred Heart Home in Oregon, Ohio.
• Reverend Gerald Knueven has been appointed to the office of Catholic Chaplain at Toledo Hospital with additional chaplaincy ministry at the Medical University of Ohio, and Saint Luke’s Hospital as an extension of Saint Joseph Parish, Maumee; Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Toledo; and Saint Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish, Toledo. Father Knueven is currently Associate Pastor of Saint Peter Parish in Mansfield.
Bishop Blair will appoint the following men, once they are ordained priests on Saturday, June 3, 2006 to the following assignments:
• Deacon David J. Cirata as the Parochial Vicar to Saint Paul the Apostle Parish, Norwalk, and Chaplain to the Norwalk Catholic school.
• Deacon Jacob A. Gordon as the Parochial Vicar to Saint Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish, Toledo.
• Deacon Monte J. Hoyles as the Parochial Vicar to Saint Joseph Parish, Maumee.
• Deacon Jeffrey R. McBeth as the Parochial Vicar to Saint Michael the Archangel Parish, Findlay.

The diocese includes Allen, Crawford, Defiance, Erie, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Huron, Lucas, Ottawa, Paulding, Putnam, Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, Van Wert, Williams, Wood and Wyandot counties.
