Parents' Week
September 21-27, 2008

A collaborative effort between the Parenting Community Partnership (PCP) and faith communities, schools, government and social service agencies, Parents' Week will include programs and activities designed to recognize and highlight the critical role that parents play in the lives of their children. The faith community, recognizing that a week is not long enough to fully address the complexity of what it means to be a parent signed a covenant on September 14, 2007, declaring 2009 as the Year of the Parent.

The Parent Community Partnership is a multifaceted coalition of individuals committed to the formation of the New Parent Community - a Community where everyone, especially those who represent the institutions in our community, understand the critical role parents play in the lives of their children. The Mission of PCP - AS A COMMUNITY WE WILL EMPOWER AND SUPPORT PARENTS IN THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES FOR REARING THEIR CHILDREN WITH CORE VALUES, FAITH, LOVE AND THE BASIC NEEDS OF LIFE.
